STORY # 0011

I have so many stories to tell, it is hard to choose just one.

I was dating a girl for about a year and a half and we had a lot more downs than ups.  There were a lot of psychotic episodes in that time period and I had to get out.  I started dating someone new about a month after the break and the ex was not happy about it when she found out.  One Sunday morning I woke to the phone ringing.  It was 6:30am and it was the ex, so I chose not to answer it.  I had a late night out before and the new girlfriend was asleep beside me.  The phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing.  The ex would hang up when she got my voice mail and repeatedly hit redial.  Finally, I shut the ringer off and went back to sleep.  I woke up around 8:30am and looked at the phone.  My phone keeps track of every call and how many times from each number.  In that two hour period, the ex had called 43 times and left 17 messages.  I started listening to some of the messages and it was pretty scary stuff.  Everything from how can you do this to me, to I am going to kill you in your sleep.  I was still listening to the messages when there was a pounding on my bedroom window.  I immediately jumped up and headed for the door.  About the time I got to the door, the ex was coming through with a key she had made back before we split up (which she never told me she had).   She was screaming "where is this Bitch!"  I was able to back her through the doorway and lock the door behind me, but not without getting thoroughly scratched up in the process.  She was screaming at the top of her lungs and hitting me in the chest.  This went on for several minutes until the new girl friend heard the commotion and came to the door to see what was wrong.  By this time, most of the neighbors are out on their porches watching this circus.  I was trying to calm the ex down, but when she saw my girlfriend she went completely nuts.  She was biting and scratching me trying to get at her.  My new girlfriend, in wide-eyed horror, slammed the door back shut and locked it.  I remember thinking... thank you, Lord.  The ex proceeded to walk around the house, banging on the windows and screaming "come out here slut!"  Finally, she had enough of that and started walking back to her car.  She got about halfway there, stopped, picked up one of my walkway paving stones and started coming back towards me.  It was my turn to stare in wide-eyed horror!   I ran back towards the door, which of course was locked.  She walked straight to the window of my living room and hurled it through.  I went around to the back of the house to find my girlfriend was already on the phone with the cops.  Good girl.   Of course, she may turn out to be next months story entry, lol.  When I came around to the front again, there goes another paving stone, this time through the windshield of my truck.  Well, I now have a restraining order and a civil case pending but it has not stopped the psychosis.  She comes by the house several times a night, screaming obscenities and throwing stuff at the house.  Most nights I just stay at my girlfriends place.  Thankfully, the ex hasn't found out that address yet.   Oh yeah, I still get multiple phone calls daily.  The record is up to 150 in one day.
